Having spent ten months in England and joining a writing group there (shout out to the Nailsworth Tell Tales) awakened my passion to writing in my second language. Or maybe it was watching Naruto which sparked the flame... maybe both. Anyway, there are stories in English now. For now, it's mostly fan fictions. Mostly Naruto-related.
I did write two poems in English but they are "filed" under 'poems'.
I haven't stopped watching series. I haven't stopped getting obsessing about some of them. I did stop writing about it for some time but then Naruto came along, grinned at me and cried: "Dattebayo!" How was I supposed to say no to this?
Naruto's teachers, Iruka and Kakashi, are two incredibly well-written (Kakashi) and fascinating (Iruka) characters. To make it even better, the two of them have such a wonderful dynamic, it makes one wonder why their relationship isn't canon. Anyway, it is a defining factor in my headcanon and I enjoy writing about the two of them way too much.
When a dirty, homeless boy stumbles into Hatake Manor and smears his muddy boots all over the carpet, Kakashi does not expect Iruka to show him a way out of his misery. The misery one of his best friends put him in. And Kakashi's clock is ticking. Who knows how long he's got left until he goes... pouf.
I have never written anything like that - and it is rather dark - but I really like it and it is easier and more rewarding than I thought. It's a modern day alternate universe story... full of ghosts and strange magics and... is that plot?
What if... Kakashi lost his body and needed to slip into Iruka's to get it back? What if they had to share one mind? The dialogues that came to life are very funny to me. I enjoy this kind of dynamic they have a lot.
Kakashi and Iruka have a life as wonderful as an active shinobi could have: they are happily mated, have a great pack and a wonderful pup. Then, canon happens. Well, Pain happens. And he
brings a lot of pain for the young family.
For me, the canon is incredibly important to writing a fanfiction. I research so much as to stay exactly within the canon. My canon-compliant stories are supposed to be just that: canon-compliant. And if Kakashi and Iruka mate before the Pain Attack, my brain knows that Kakashi is going to die. And it refuses to ignore it,
It is a sequel to "Don't judge a book by its cover" because I couldn't let the happy ending stay a happy ending,
Kakashi suffers under the rule of the "slavedriver Godaime" and gets a new mission with the person he least expects to work with again: Umino Iruka. As much as he enjoys watching the hard-working, determined, good-looking, warm-hearted omega sensei, he might be underestimating Iruka. And his own feelings. And their mission.
I really like the idea but it was never all that close to my heart. It was a thing that I wrote whenever I had a writer's block in "Don't judge a book by its cover". There is nothing better than a bit of badass omega Iruka from time to time though. Especially when we have an alpha Kakashi admiring him.
Aaron came to the Garrison to learn about aliens. And to work on his career as a rock star. It ends with him busking in front of the cafeteria and being completely overwhelmed when he actually meets the first alien that is interested in him. Very interested in him. It's definitely not a female-looking alien and Aaron isn't into men. But somehow, everyone seems intent on hooking him up with his new acquaintance.
It is more or less a loose sequel to "It's different with Galras" where I write about two original characters of mine beause they begged me to be included in a story. I do like their dynamic a lot though. And Zorak is an interesting fellow.
Iruka loves teaching children to help them get a better life. He also likes to shine, so he does both. After the catastrophe that was his last boyfriend, he is still suffering. And he really doesn't like his new colleague's attitude. But Kakashi-sensei is exactly his type...
This is not necessarily a story I wanted to write. I wanted to read a story in which Iruka was a drag queen but I didn't find one, so I decided to write it. It's not my favourite piece of work but it's cute and a bit of a challenge. A modern AU for my favourite Naruto couple.
Kakashi is okay with his life except he's not because he technically doesn't have a life. Then, there is this misunderstanding between him and Iruka because they judged the other wrong. And apparently they are very compatible. But Kakashi has issues. One of them is his father.
I don't know where this came from. It just appeared and I was not prepared for it. It's kind of a mental sequel to "Don't let me go". Not a sequel to the plot or the characters. It's more a sequel to the thought process and the feeling which led to said story. Omegaverse is fascinating and this time, Kakashi is the omega which changes everything.
After the war, Kakashi is on his way to becoming Hokage. He's made peace with his past and he would have never thought that his life might be in danger because of it.
Iruka has just been promoted to vice principal of the Academy and he is working hard. He thinks, everything is going to be better and easier now but then, an old secret comes back to him.
He'd never thought, he would have to help save a fellow shinobi like this. But Hokage's orders are Hokage's orders.
I like the Omegaverse. It is a fascinating idea and creates a new level to discuss problems of human nature and society. There are many fascinating aspects about how alphas, omegas and betas work. One day, I sat on the tram and though to myself: "What if..." and of course, it had to be a KakaIru fic. But it is easily the most intense thing I have ever written.
Iruka is sent to Kirigakure on a mission. But he remembers his father warning him to never go there. Unfortunately, he is the only one who can perform this special mission... he is in for surprises, secrets and someone who turns his life around.
My first ever English fanfiction. I started it, mostly because I think that Umino Iruka did not get the attention as a character that he deserved. So I'm giving him some background, some family history and some character deveolpment... I didn't think it would escalate like that. I couldn't know that Takaya would happen (that's why there is an extra page solely about this story)
Talking about escalating... there are quite a few side stories by now, I'm not going to miss the opportunity to mention them here.
Takaya's Diary
Takaya is a side character who developed a very interesting and complex personality. It was a big surprise to me as he was planned just to be here for like two scenes. But Takaya wasn't having it. And now, he even got me to the point where I started creating his backstory. It's expressed in this diary.
Breakfast at Takaya's
Yes, it is a reference to "Breakfast at Tiffany's" but it has nothing whatsoever to do with the film. It was a weird idea two friends and I came up with: someone is invited for breakfast at someone else's house and has to listen to a detailed description of their sex life without a way out. And of course, the one with the weird sex life had to be Takaya. And the one suffering had to be Iruka. I took it on me as a challenge to also include a lot of weird kinks.
The Oldest Of Them All
One nice day, I came up with a history of the Umino clan. Because I don't like huge gaps like this in my world building. And I didn't want to write it as a historical report or a scientific essay (I have enough of them in uni, thank you very much), so I turned it into a bar night.
A few years after Voltron saved the universe, the former paladins settle into normal lives. Lance runs his own little farm and is rather content though still missing Allura until one day Keith's spaceship lands on his field and something is very different about his friend...
So I watched "Voltron - Legendary Defender"... I was a bit disappointed that they didn't make Keith/Lance canon in the end but at least they left it open. I like filling plot holes. And I also like adding lore where there is none. I doubt that all alien species look similarly two humans and share a similar biology. That's boring and stupid. So I took a look at the Galra... this is as much a fictional study of Galra biology as it is a attempt to get the Klance-ship sailing. (Warning: many elements are similar to the Omegaverse).
Writing in English is mostly to practice my English and to reach the audience I want to reach with my fan fictions. But... when ideas come up, and they come up in English, I can't help but write them in English.
Chad's evening starts nice, turns into a nuisance and then brings him a very, very bad surprise which will confront him with some things he'd rather not want to know.
It started as a little piece of brain dust but then I thought Lyle was so interesting... and it grew into something bigger. As it often does. It was inspired by the song "Toy Boy" by Mika but it seems like the story revolves around the whole CD.
Haldur's life as crown prince and future king of Albion had been planned out neatly but everything shatters in one night of blood and cramps when he presents as an omega. Valiant is just bored and takes the challenge to break into the castle at night. Things play themselves out.
(Silver Lining)
This story may just be an excuse to explore the Omegaverse... reading only is boring, I want to get creative myself! But when the conflict was done and everything was nice and happy (more or less), it wasn't enough. Especially because of two side characters (whom one might now from another story of mine) who I wanted to explore a bit more.
Valiant's trail is over and he's gained more than he could ever think of. Haldur is on his way to become the first omega King these lands have ever seen and he's confident about it. But Valiant still had to gain the King's trust and Haldur struggles with hormones. And, apparently, Valiant's best friend has a problem growing somewhere in the background...
